Tributes have poured in for respected Gold Coast food writer Patricia Mossop, who died on Friday morning.
Mrs Mossop (pictured) spent 15 years as a restaurant reviewer for the Gold Coast Bulletin, until her retirement from the paper in 2012.
She worked in the role alongside her late husband and journalist Brian Mossop, who died in May last year.
Mrs Mossop had previously worked as a nurse in Sydney before the couple relocated to the Gold Coast, where they were a fixture of the social scene for about two decades.
Bulletin social columnist Regina King described her friend as “lovely, warm and generous”.
“She was just a really beautiful soul,” Ms King said.
“Patricia was kind and never critical of anything or anyone.
“She adored Brian - it was a match made in heaven and they loved their family.”
Former Gold Coast Bulletin editor Bob Gordon said Mrs Mossop would be remembered as a “gracious lady”.
“She always handled herself with great dignity and affection,” Mr Gordon said.
“She always dressed well. She was a lady of style.”
Mrs Mossop is survived by her three sons John, Paul and Mark.
Last year, she was front and centre among 200 people gathered to remember her “larger than life” journalist husband during a ceremony at the Pacific Surf Life Saving Club’s function centre in Palm Beach.
