The hospitality veterans behind what will be the Gold Coast’s own “world-class” seafood restaurant say their siren-inspired space is taking shape.
Steven and Autumn Adams (Moo Moo, Broadbeach) are transforming the vacant space where The Bavarian used to trade into Blowfish Ocean Grill and they’ve just revealed the first renders of their vision.
Mr Adams said his new seafood restaurant would boast more than 2000 wines and a 24-seater private dining room with an exclusive mezzanine dining area called The Ripple Room.
He said, after four weeks of renovations, their vision was coming to life.
Mr and Mrs Adams chose Space Cubed Design studio to create the “sea green, pearly white and sun-bleached timber” space.
Space Cubed associate interior designer Jill Chilton said the concept of the restaurant was to take a romantic approach of the idea “we are all of the sea”.
“The clients wanted to create an immersive dining experience for their guests and this narrative is carried throughout the venue,” she said.
“Our decisions were largely inspired by the mythical tales of the seductively beautiful creatures that lured mariners with their siren songs, resulting in a serene, yet whimsical dining experience.”
Mr Adams said they were “thrilled” with what Ms Chilton had designed.
“We can’t wait for our customers to see it.”
He said they had received a large number of reservations after they opened up bookings last month, even though tables wouldn’t be available until late November.
“We suggest businesses book early for their end of year/Christmas celebrations, particularly if they are wanting to dine in The Ripple Room as this will be one of the only private dining spaces on the Gold Coast.”
The restaurant at 2 Oracle Blvd, Broadbeach will open on Friday November 24.
