Since it opened its doors in 1968, Marymount College has seen thousands of talented people through its doors. Here’s some of their best.

Karina Brown. GRADUATED: 2006. NOW: Karina took up rugby league in 2010, captaining the Burleigh Bears for four years and leading them to premiership victories in 2015 and 2016. She and her partner moved to the Easts Tigers in Brisbane in 2017, before she signed with the Sydney Roosters in 2018. She made her debut in Round 1 of the 2018 NRL Women’s Premiership and competed with them in the inaugural NRLW Grand Final against the Brisbane Broncos. In 2013 she made her international debut with the Australian Jillaroos and has consecutively played for the team over the past five years. Since then her pop culture work has featured in Empire Magazine, Penthouse, The Guardian, Buzzfeed and more. She’s best known for her work as a panellist, presenter, writer and producer on SBS Viceland’s The Feed and is an ambassador for the Australian Stroke Foundation. Her debut novel “Who’s Afraid?” was published global in 2016, followed by “Who’s Afraid Too?” in 2017. Her first Young Adult novel, “It Came From The Deep”, was self-published in 2017.

Carl Barron. NOW: Carl is a successful theatre and television comedian who has released five DVDs and been voted ‘Comic of the Year’. He has regularly sold-out shows at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival and his DVD “Carl Barron LIVE!” has gone four times platinum, making it the most successful Australian comedy DVD in the country’s history.

She announced her retirement in October 2016 before revealing she intends to return to platform diving after undergoing three shoulder surgeries in June 2018.
