A man has died and another has been taken into custody after a horror crash in the Gold Coast’s north.
Emergency services were called to Computer Road in Yatala around 2.15pm after reports of a three-vehicle crash.
A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokeswoman said the incident involved two cars and a truck.
Two fire crews were on scene just before 2.30pm.
A Gold Coast police statement said the truck was driving west along Computer Rd when it hit a Holden Commodore, pushing it into a parked Ford Courier ute.
The driver of the Ford – a 57-year-old Woodridge man – was standing outside his car when the Holden Commodore hit him and his car.
He was declared dead at the scene.
The 46-year-old truck driver from Murrarie was arrested and taken into custody and is assisting police with inquiries.
