AN attempt to have a Gold Coast massage parlour permanently declared an illegal brothel was abandoned by police after revelations the business had been sold.
Police were attempting to have Body Back and Feet Massage, owned by Chye Jean Cheah, declared an illegal brothel permanently.
But police prosecutor Sergeant Nick Wang withdrew the application in Southport Magistrates Court on Wednesday as the business had been sold.

The massage parlour on Dominions Rd, Ashmore, was temporarily declared an illegal brothel in December last year.
That order was rescinded in January.
In March, Ms Cheah was found not guilty of one count each of knowingly participating in the provision of prostitution and possessing tainted property.
