Queensland Police investigating assault in bar’s toilet block on Gold Coast Hwy at Burleigh Heads early Thursday morning
A man has been taken to hospital after he was attacked in the toilet block of a popular Gold Coast venue.

POLICE have launched investigations after a bar worker was attacked by a patron during an altercation in a toilet block at a popular Burleigh Heads venue.
The 21-year-old worker was “assaulted” by the customer at the premises on the Gold Coast Hwy at Burleigh Heads about 12.30am on Thursday, according to a Queensland Police Service statement.
It’s understood the incident occurred at Nightjar
Police say the employee went to the back of the venue to clean when he became involved in the altercation.
It’s believed he was struck, causing a cut to the left eye, and was reportedly left unconscious momentarily.
“Initial investigations suggest an altercation took place between two men before the 21-year-old was punched, knocking him to the ground,” a police statement read.
“Investigations have commenced into the incident.”
No one had been arrested over the attack later on Thursday morning.
Queensland Ambulance Service stated the victim was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition suffering “an eye injury ”.
