Queensland police establish crime scene after body found Kennards Self Storage in Southport

Police are combing over a storage warehouse in Southport after a grim discovery on Tuesday morning.

Body found at Gold Coast business

A crime scene has been established at a Gold Coast storage business following the discovery of a body on Tuesday morning.

Multiple police crews including forensics are at the Kennards Self Storage warehouse on Olympic Circuit, Southport.

Police tape is blocking the driveway to the premises and customers have told the Gold Coast Bulletin they have been advised the business is temporarily closed.

Officers could be seen taking pictures of the inside of the premises and reviewing CCTV.

A Queensland Police Service (QPS) spokesman said officers were called to reports of a sudden death at the address about 4.15am on Tuesday.

Following further inquiries, police don’t believe the death is suspicious and a report is being prepared for the coroner, the QPS spokesman said.

Investigations are continuing.
