PARAMEDICS have treated two pedestrians who were hit by a car on the Gold Coast.
The two people were injured in a “vehicle and pedestrian incident” on Quay St at Hope Island about 1.30pm today, a Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) spokesman said.
One of the pedestrians suffered a head injury, while the second suffered arm and hip injuries. QAS was not able to provide the ages or genders of the pedestrians.
It’s understood the low-speed incident occurred when a driver’s foot slipped from his vehicle’s brake pedal.
The pair were taken to Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
Queensland Police officers attended Quay St, but no action was taken.
