TITANS SAVIOUR OFFLOADS HOME
PAUL Scanlon, a fellow who at one time ran a later ‘submerged’ Mustang Marine, is being linked to a second riverfront buy at Paradise Waters, this one from Titans NRL team saviour Darryl Kelly.
Casa Domus, a company apparently in the Scanlon stable, paid $5.5 million in September for the ex-Keith Williams mansion in Commodore Drive.
Now Darryl, who’s bought a $6.3 million beachfront apartment, has benefited from Casa’s largesse, achieving $4.325 million for his Admiralty Drive home.
SAMMUT LINKS UP THE FUNDER ALCEON
SAMMUT Developments, a Sydney group which is buying 53-year-old beachfront apartment block the Garfield, may have a company familiar to the Gold Coast lined up as a funder.
It is mooted to be Alceon, a group with ex-Babcock and Brown execs in its rank and which is developing the Acuity Business Park at Robina.
The 27-year-old Sammut, run by brothers John and Allen Sammut, operates in the luxury market and Cronulla is a favourite suburb.
MARSHALL’S ‘GRAND’ HOTEL PLAN
JOHN Marshall, a developer who’s lost control of the Grand Canal at the Hope Island Resort, had visions of building a floating hotel on the waterway.
It’s emerged that he had a concept plan drawn up in 2014 for a 40-villa hotel adjoining the resort’s golf clubhouse and with a restaurant, buggy parking and moorings.
The canal’s on the market in the wake of receivers taking control of the Marshall entity that bought it for $770,000 a decade ago.
