AN EXCLUSIVE French patisserie is set to open on the Gold Coast.
Le Bon Chiox, a cafe famous for its macarons and almond croissants, will start saying bonjour to customers from 8am on Wednesday at Pacific Fair Shopping Centre.
Creator and owner Savico Basset-Rouge said he was excited to finally open his eighth cafe in Queensland.
“COVID-19 or the Premier are not going to stop us serving beautiful food to the Gold Coast”, he said.
Mr Basset-Rouge was the first man to bring macarons to the sunshine state in 2004. From that day on, his sweet treats have been a guilty pleasure for many.
The Pacific Fair store will offer more than 50 cakes and pastries, and a European-inspired hot breakfast will be on the menu from December.
Gold Coasters will also be able to watch in-house bakers whip up baguettes through a glass window and children will have their own dedicated area to watch French movies.
