One Love Bridal co-owner Sinead Trevor named as the best makeup artist on the Gold Coast

The Gold Coast’s best makeup artist – who opened her business less than eight months ago – says there is one beauty trend she wishes would be left behind.

The Gold Coast’s best makeup artist – who opened her business less than eight months ago – says there is one beauty trend she wishes would be left behind.

One Love Bridal co-owner Sinead Trevor, 27, was recently named the Gold Coast’s best makeup artist by Bulletin readers.

Ms Trevor said it was a “surreal” moment to receive the title since she only opened her studio in September 2023.

“I am feeling incredibly grateful and blessed to have such supportive clients, friend and family,” she said.

“Especially coming up against some of the best makeup artists on the Gold Coast.”

Ms Trevor – who specialises in bridal makeup – said she charges from $130 for makeup applications.

Ms Trevor said her fiance Michael pushed her to turn her passion into a career, something she did when in 2019 when she began studying at Icon School of Makeup.

“I always had a love for makeup from a young age and was always doing my friends’ makeup,” Ms Trevor said.

“But I fell in love with the way I made people feel after doing their makeup.”

Ms Trevor said she moved to the Gold Coast in 2021 and found it difficult to “get her foot in the door”.

“Moving away from my hometown for a fresh start was one of the scariest, yet most rewarding decision I have ever made,” she said.

“Things don’t happen overnight and there have been lots of long and hard day. Lots of tears and wins but consistency is everything.”

Ms Trevor said she hoped the beauty trend of applying a “completely matte face” would be left behind.

“I am loving all the glowy, fresh face trends that are circling at the moment.”
