Now a local real estate agent has stepped up with a plan to give Mr Blower a fresh start.

Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate agent Kyle Judd was in the Coombabah area when he came across the badly damaged house.

“I thought he was still doing a renovation, but unfortunately he was still living there,” Mr Judd said.

“I couldn’t stop thinking about it.”

After Mr Judd saw Mr Blower struggling to put up a new fence, he put a call out to a local community Facebook page to see if anyone could help.

He said the support from Coombabah residents and businesses had been “overwhelming”.

This led to Mr Judd starting a GoFundMe fundraiser for Mr Blower.

“I would love us as a community to help,” the fundraising page said.

“As tough as these past 18 months have been, let’s show someone we all still have what it takes as a community to keep strong.”

Mr Judd’s goal is to raise $100,000 for Mr Blower.

“I just want to do anything I can to help him get back on his feet,” he said.
