Driver charged following early morning crash outside Northern Gold Coast bowling club

A man will face court in January after crashing his ute into the side of a parked car in a suburban Gold Coast street. Get the details.

Police have charged a man following a single vehicle crash on a northern Gold Coast suburban street.

Emergency service were called to the address at Eyre Street, Paradise Point shortly after 6am on Wednesday.

A white Subaru sedan appeared to cross onto the wrong side of the road and smashed into an older model ute outside the Paradise Point Bowls Club.

Two highway patrol police officers were seen speaking with a man wearing a high-vis shirt.

A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman said a person from the ute was transported to Gold Coast University hospital for treatment following the crash. A man has been charged over the incident with one count of driving without a licence after a suspension. He will face court in January. The crash scene took approximately half an hour to be cleared by emergency services with both vehicles sustaining moderate damage. It didn’t cause any delays to traffic.
