PLANS REVEALED FOR NEW $75M DREAMWORLD RESORT

Dreamworld CEO Greg Yong said the rollercoaster is expected to open to the public in late 2021 after a “rigorous” testing program has been completed.

“It’s incredibly exciting to see the train now making its way around the track and we can’t wait to offer the experience to Dreamworld’s guests,” Mr Yong said.

“We can, hand on heart, promise our guests that this will be the most incredible rollercoaster experience in the country – they’ll have to feel it to believe it.”

The rollercoaster will feature two snake-themed trains, one of which will include a rear spinning seat, which Dreamworld said is a world first.

Shares in Dreamworld owner Ardent Leisure shot up last month after the company revealed it had narrowed losses in the past financial year despite the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
