A man has been rushed to hospital with serious injuries after he was kicked by a horse in the Gold Coast’s racing precinct.
Emergency services were called to Ken Russell Court, Bundall about 7am on Thursday where the rider, aged in his 20s, was treated for “potentially life-threatening” chest injuries.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said the patient had fallen from a horse and was then kicked by the animal.
He was treated at the scene by paramedics and rushed to Gold Coast University Hospital.
