Major Monday morning delays on M1

There are major delays on the Pacific Motorway this morning, but the cause is not a traffic crash. Find out more.

Commuters travelling southbound on the Pacific Motorway can expect major delays after a breakdown this morning.

A car has reportedly broken down in the middle lane of the M1 at exit 71 in Nerang causing traffic to be backed up to Pimpama.

Motorcyclist flew ‘over bonnet’ in early morning crash

A motorbike rider has reportedly gone ‘over the bonnet’ of a car in an early morning crash on the southern Gold Coast.

Emergency services were called to the scene at the intersection of Ern Harley Drive and Greg Chapel Drive, an industrial areain Burleigh Heads, at around 6.43am on Monday.

A Queensland Ambulance spokesman said a man in his 20s had pelvic injuries as a result of the crash.

The man was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
