A teen has been remanded in custody after being charged over the alleged stabbing of a man during a home invasion, in which a car was allegedly driven into a house, south of Brisbane this month.
Police said they believed three people broke into the house on Bahrs Scrub Rd, Logan on May 18, around 2.15pm before a 49-year-old man was stabbed in the stomach.
Police said the man was injured after he confronted the group and a fight broke out.
A waiting Ford Ranger, believed to have been stolen from Algester the day before, was then allegedly driven into the front of the house, causing damage.
The trio then got into the Ford and drove off leaving the injured man, who was later taken to Logan Hospital in a stable condition.
Detectives charged a 15-year-old boy on Monday with offences related to the break-in along with offences linked to the theft of the Ford Ranger.
The teen was also charged with acts linked to resisting arrest and detention along with assault occasioning bodily harm while armed in company.
He is expected to appear in Beenleigh Children’s Court but no date has been set.
Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
Detectives continue to appeal to anyone with information, relevant CCTV or dashcam footage in the area at the time to come forward.
