Frightening footage has emerged of the moment a 49-year-old man used a scooter to defend his Logan home before he was stabbed in the abdomen.
Footage obtained by 9 News shows the horrifying moment a group of youths broke into the Bahrs Scrub home, before a stolen getaway car crashed into the living room.
It is understood the footage was obtained from a home security camera.
Police say three people broke into the home about 2.15pm on Thursday where they were confronted by a 49-year-old man, who was then stabbed.
A stolen Ford Ranger was driven into the front of the house. It then drove away after picking up three offenders.
The victim was taken to Logan Hospital in a stable condition.
Detectives are appealing for anyone with information, relevant CCTV footage or dashcam footage to come forward.
