Police have released footage of a man fleeing empty-handed from a Logan Central service station after an alleged botched armed robbery.

Police have released footage of a man fleeing empty-handed from a Logan Central service station after an alleged botched armed robbery on Monday, April 29.

The man entered the premises on Wembley Rd at 5.40am and allegedly threatened a female staff member with a weapon, police said.

After a brief exchange of words the man fled without any cash or property before getting into a black Holden Commodore VE and driving off.

The staff member was not injured.

The man was described as Caucasian, with a solid build and short hair.

He was wearing a cream jumper, black pants and a black bandana covering his face.

The car was last seen on Wembley Rd heading towards Woodridge.

It had a faded or spray-painted roof, aftermarket wheels, a chrome front grill and no number plates.

Anyone who recognised the man, or who had any information about the incident, was urged to contact police.
