A Logan mother and daughter, as well as another man, have faced court after allegedly stabbing three people in a violent home invasion.

Police alleged that at 10.30pm on May 8, 29-year-old Kaitlyn Laura Leigh Compton and her 57-year-old mother Jacqueline Rose Barnes broke into a Loganlea home.

They were allegedly joined by 25-year-old Kelvin Grove friend Rhys Jordan Harm at the Rhodes St address.

Police alleged Mr Harm stabbed one of the victims, Bradley Collingwood, 41, in the leg and threatened to take his wallet.

Leeton Collingwood, 24, was also allegedly stabbed and punched in the face by Ms Compton.

The third victim, Jessica Patterson, 49, was allegedly assaulted.

All three were taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Ms Barnes and her daughter were both charged with two counts of wounding and one count each of assaults occasioning bodily harm, enter dwelling with intent and stealing.

Mr Harm was charged with two counts of wounding and one count each of assault occasioning bodily harm, enter dwelling with intent, stealing, possess dangerous drugs and possess utensils.

Ms Compton applied for bail in Beenleigh Magistrates Court on May 9, represented by defence lawyer Divya Raj.

“My client has two children and is worried her time in custody will take away from her role as a parent,” he said.

“The matters will take a while to progress before the courts.

“She has a suitable address and is willing to abide by any conditions, including not contacting any victims or the co-accused.”

Ms Compton was on parole after being sentenced for assault occasioning bodily harm in September, 2023.

She was denied bail by Magistrate Peter Cooke.

Her lawyer said the context around Ms Barnes’ allegations was important.

“Allegations do not indicate she actively broke into the house, she did not stab anyone or harm anyone, she was charged as a party to the offending,’’ he said.

“She can reside by herself, is capable of reporting daily if required and is willing to comply with a residential condition.

“Given the nature of these proceedings and the length of time it will take, bail can be granted.”

Ms Barnes was granted bail and a brief of evidence ordered by June 20.

The matters would next be mentioned on July 3.

Mr Harm remained in hospital and would have his matters mentioned in Beenleigh Magistrates Court on May 10.
