Two men have been arrested over their alleged involvement in an armed robbery at a jewellery story on Sydney’s Lower North Shore.
Police will alleged a balaclava-clad duo forced their way into the store armed with a pistol and threatened staff, before taking off with an item.Police were alerted to a alleged armed robbery at Birdwood Lane in Lane Cove at 3.30pm on March 28.
On arrival, officers attached to North Shore Police Area Command were told two males wearing dark clothing and face coverings.
Police established a crime scene and commenced initial inquiries into the incident before the matter was taken carriage of by State Crime Command’s Robbery and Serious Crime Squad under Strike Force Larama.
Originally, police sought help from the public to track down those who stormed a jewellery store, however following extensive inquiries police executed a search warrant in Summer Hill at 6.45am today and arrested two men aged 44 and 60.
Both men were taken to Newtown Police Station where they are expected to be charged over their alleged involvement in the armed robbery.
