A Logan man who allegedly stabbed another man at a sporting complex overnight has been charged by police and had his matters heard in court.
Glen Richard Pelgrave, 45, was charged with acts intending to cause grievous bodily harm, possession of a knife in a public place and going armed as to cause fear.
Police allege Mr Pelgrave, from Eagleby, stabbed 46-year-old Anthony John Nicholls at Olivers Sports Complex in Eagleby at 6pm last night, March 10.
The alleged victim suffered serious injuries and was transported to Princess Alexandra Hospital.
Beenleigh Magistrates Court heard on March 11 that Mr Pelgrave was in hospital with a head injury and could not apply for bail.
Magistrate Tracy Mossop ordered a full brief of evidence by April 20 and listed the matter for mention in Beenleigh Magistrates Court on April 8.
“These are serious charges and serious offences,” said Magistrate Mossop.
