An aspiring Logan nurse and business owner who repeatedly stalked a former girlfriend for months has faced court.

Eve-Maree Lungwitz, 31, pleaded guilty in Beenleigh Magistrates Court on March 22 to three counts of breaching a restraining order.

The court heard that Lungwitz was in a relationship with a married woman for six months.

When the married woman’s partner found out about the affair, the relationship ended and a restraining order was put in place against Lungwitz.

One of the offences was when she ran into the victim at the Beenleigh Marketplace and the victim started filming her.

They then began a conversation which violated the order.

The two other breaches occurred on January 15 in Logan Central and February 16 in Marsden, where one time Lungwitz drove down the same street of the victim.

Defence barrister Chris Minnery said Lungwitz had taken steps to avoid seeing the woman anymore and abiding by the order.

“She’s done everything she can to avoid the victim, changed the kids’ schools and been careful where she’s driving,” he said.

“She studied a diploma of nursing and now operated a cleaning business but plans to go back and finish her nursing degree.”

The court heard Lungwitz had to avoid certain areas of Logan while operating her cleaning business to avoid running into the victim.

She grew up in Adelaide and was a mother to three girls.

Magistrate Eoin Mac Giolla Ri considered recording a conviction but acknowledged Lungwitz had a limited criminal history.

“It’s borderline of not recording a conviction,” he said.

“It looks like you’re heading in the right direction though.”

Lungwitz was sentenced to a 12-month probation order and no conviction was recorded.
