Gold Coast crash: Police investigating after serious motorcycle crash

Police are investigating a serious, single vehicle motorcycle crash in Merrimac that has left a man fighting for life.

POLICE are investigating a serious, single vehicle motorcycle crash in Merrimac that has left a man fighting for life.

Emergency services were called around 2.55pm after reports a 29-year-old man from Worongary lost control of his motorcycle on Gooding Drive in Carrara.

Paramedics transported a 29-year-old male to Gold Coast University Hospital in a critical condition with significant burns.

A 40-year-old man was also transported with multiple arm fractures and burns to his right leg.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the incident and is appealing for anyone with dashcam footage to contact police.

Gooding Drive is now clear and the Nerang Broadbeach and Gooding Drive roundabout exit is open.
