Gold Coast schoolgirl Emily Inches competes in the Australian Supermodel of the Year
MEET the sixteen year old Nerang student who is on the cusp of an international modelling career. But she’s also set her sights on a another profession which could take her to new heights.

NERANG’S Emily Inches is showing beauty on the outside and inside.
The 16-year-old Nerang State High School student is a state finalist in the Australian Supermodel of the Year competition and is using her modelling work to save for her future law degree and Christian missionary efforts.

Emily, who has an Italian-Dutch background, plans to use the platform to secure herself a bright future.
“I’m a career driven woman,” she said.
“I want to go to uni to be a criminal or corporate lawyer and use modelling work to subsidise my studies.”
Discovered in a supermarket doing a Sunday grocery shop with her mum Karen Frost, Emily was approached by a scout who suggested she enter the competition.
“It was a real confidence boost considering I wasn’t wearing any makeup or anything,” she said.
Sponsored by local company Ecotan, Emily has chosen to raise money for mental health advocacy Beyond Blue.
The Beachside Christian Church regular also volunteered as a missionary in Cooktown in Far North Queensland and other Aboriginal communities.

She will compete in a formalwear section — in a custom-made dress designed by her dressmaker grandmother Frederika Frost — swimwear and fashion categories.
She cites her style icon as former Hollywood starlet Audrey Hepburn.
Mum Karen said she was so proud of her daughter.
“She’s a really good kid, she has high moral standards and is a genuinely good person,” she said.
The Queensland final on October 12 will decide the 12 finalists who will travel to the international competition in Indonesia.
