Gold Coast M1 crash: Five people injured in three-car pile-up at Arundel

The incident comes amid a string of crashes on wet roads across the Gold Coast today.

FIVE people were assessed by paramedics after a shocking crash on the M1 this morning.

Emergency services responded to a head-to-tail incident on the Pacific Motorway and Smith Street Interchange at 11.06am.

Three cars were involved and five passengers were assessed by paramedics for injuries.

One patient was transported to Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.

There has been a spade of crashes on the Coast this morning, including a crash in Elanora.

Police attended the incident on Kp McGrath Drive after a car collided with a barricade.

No one was injured but authorities are investigating.
