Gold Coast development: Big names are making their moves on their Coast property

Nick Corcoris and his Melbourne property group have had their plans for land fronting the home straight at the Gold Coast Turf Club ‘put down’.

Property price growth expected to surge in 2021

NICK Corcoris and his Melbourne property group have had their plans for land fronting the home straight at the Gold Coast Turf Club ‘put down’.

The Corcoris team wanted to develop multi-level buildings that would be home to apartments and a hotel, along with a rooftop restaurant and a function centre.

The city council has red-flagged the project, one reason being that having residents on the doorstep of the Benowa effluent re-pump station might constrain the facility’s operation.

MICHAEL Brosnan, who made a healthy fortune in the natural supplements business, reportedly has made a second major investment in Multi-Millionaires’ Row at Mermaid Beach.

The part-owner of the Parkwood International golf course is the suggested $6.6 million buyer of an older Hedges Ave home on a 405 sqm lot.

The property is two doors away from a two-level house that Michael built on a site he bought from Dreamworld founder John Longhurst for $6.3 million in 2017.

GIAAN Rooney, a former swimming champion who became a TV presenter, has left the waterfront at Broadbeach Waters and taken $2.2 million with her.

She’s sold an east-facing canal-front home that she bought as a knockdown for $860,000 in 2015 before building a two-level home.

The mother-of-two and hubby Sam Levett have a macadamia farm at Corndale in northern NSW and in March Giann launched an activewear range – GR by Giann Rooney.
