A GOLD Coast man has been charged after allegedly being busted with a stash of cocaine and a large amount of cash.

Tweed Byron Police pulled over a car the 22-year-old Tugun man was driving on Terranora Rd at Banora Point about 10.15pm last night.

Officers searched the car and allegedly seized 17g of cocaine and $1470 in cash.

The Tugun man was arrested and taken to Tweed Heads Police Station.

He was charged with supplying a prohibited drug, possessing a prohibited drug and dealing with the proceeds of crime.

The man was bailed to appear before Tweed Heads Local Court on July 13.
