Foxwell Secondary College at Coomera on Gold Coast reveals stage 2 build

THE Gold Coast’s newest high school has revealed plans for its next chapter as it begins work on stage 2 of the state-of-the-art campus.
Tenders will be called in the coming weeks for the expansion of Foxwell State Secondary College, which opened in Coomera in January.
Stage 2 is expected to include kitchen and food studies learning spaces, science laboratories, senior construction workshops, learning spaces, kinesiology laboratories and a performing arts centre.
The build is anticipated to be finished in 2022 and support more than 140 local jobs.
NEW $46 MILLION SPECIAL SCHOOL TO BE BUILT AT COOMERA
Education Minister Grace Grace said: “We know that COVID-19 has had a big impact on the global economy.
“So, by continuing the pipeline of work on school infrastructure we are helping to support construction jobs into the future.”
The $64 million school opened with 200 Year 7 students and will accept Year 7 and 8 enrolments.
