Emergency services called to unit fire on Central Street in Labrador

A Gold Coast unit has been declared a crime scene as detectives investigate a suspicious blaze at the property on Monday morning.
Emergency services, including multiple fire crews, were called to the apartment fire on Central Street, Labrador at around 4.32am.
A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) spokeswoman said it was initially reported as a fire outside the unit.
They said the blaze extended to the second storey of the complex before it was extinguished by 4.43am.
A crime scene was declared a short time later, with police standing guard at the property as a fire investigator inspected the damage.
A front window of the home appeared to have been smashed and there was a pile of burnt items outside.
Detectives were also in attendance and spoke with residents of the complex.
Paramedics responded to the incident, however, no one was injured.
