A much-loved Nerang doctor has died, with tributes flowing for the experienced chiropractor who had a passion for his work and sports.

Dr Yaron Robinstein, the head practitioner at Nerang’s Hinterland Chiropractic, passed away suddenly last week.

Friends and family remembered ‘Dr Y’, a father of three, as a “great man” as he was farewelled in a service at the Sydney Chevra Kadisha in NSW on Tuesday morning.

Gold Coast Medical Association president Dr Philip Morris paid tribute to the popular practitioner.

“We are very sad to hear of the sudden death of Dr Yaron Robinstein, a health practitioner colleague of ours here on the gold coast

“He was a well-respected and very experienced chiropractor at hinterland chiropractic.

“The Gold Coast community will miss him and many of his patients who saw him will no-doubt be very sad that do not have him to support them through their journey.

“The Gold Coast Medical Association passes on our sincere condoles to his family, friends and the Hinterland staff.”

His comments were echoed by patients and friends of Dr Robinstein

Louise Barth said the community had “lost one of the good ones”.

“I am absolutely speechless. Such a beautiful soul who had the ability to take all your pain away,” she wrote.

“I will never forget the warmth and love that he showed my family at our lowest point. Our community has lost one of the good ones, and it sucks.”

Hayley Clearihan said she and her family felt “truly blessed” to have known him.

“Dr Y was a beautiful, funny, kind soul who has touched our whole community,” she wrote.

“Myself and my children have been seeing him for a long time.

“We are heartbroken by this loss and would like to wish his family and friends our condolences.

Hayley Merelle said she was “absolutely heartbroken to hear of Dr Robinstein’s death.

“What a great man. RIP friend,” she wrote.

“It’s very shocking. I saw him last week bouncing around smiling. A reminder to hold our loved ones tight.”

His death comes only months after the passing of his mother Sarah in October.

Dr Robinstein, who attended Moriah College in NSW, was a passionate football fan and loving father who had written at length about how an incident during his childhood had led to his career.

“My passion for chiropractic care began when I was six years old (and) I was involved in a severe motor vehicle accident (MVA) injuring my neck and fracturing my skull,” he wrote.

“Shortly after leaving the hospital I was brought to a local chiropractor’s office. The chiropractor diagnosed that I had a reversed cervical curve that was a direct result of the head impact I had encountered.

“After receiving chiropractic care not only did my injury subside but to my surprise, my neck curve returned to normal and my now regular migraine headaches went away completely.

“I had regained my energy, and my sports training was improving (and) when I grew up I then went on to playing semi-professional soccer.

“From my injury I came to understand and believe in the power of adjusting the spine and the nervous system. Thus, I made the ultimate commitment and decided to become a chiropractor.”

He held a Bachelor of Sports Science and received a Masters of Chiropractic from Macquarie University in 2001.

Dr Robinstein began working at Hinterland Chiropractic in 2002.

“I look forward every day to doing what I love most, teaching and practising a healthy lifestyle,” he wrote.
