VOLUNTEERS Claudia and David Leslie say they have been reduced to tears watching the elderly fight supermarket crowds for the past fortnight.
And they want to help to ease the pain.
For more than 10 years, the retirees have been delivering pre-cooked meals to the elderly and disabled with charity Meals on Wheels.
“You can see so many people have been struggling in our community of late,” Ms Leslie said.
“It is a really hard time but we want people to know we are here, we have food and we are still delivering.
“We even have toilet paper – so there is no need to worry.”
