A photo of a Gold Coast influencer wearing a tiny bikini has gone viral online after a mum’s hilarious rant against the barely-there swimwear. But she’s had a classy response to the controversy.

A PHOTO of a Gold Coast influencer has gone viral after a mother slammed a swimwear label for its minimal, hip-showing bikini.

Tahlia Skaines, 22, posted a photo of herself in the Boohoo one-piece earlier this month, offering her 340,000 Instagram followers a 50 per cent discount for clothing from the label.

But she got more than she bargained for after a mother wrote a lengthy rant on Facebook to the brand, questioning the lack of fabric around the pubic area, writing: “I’m afraid I’ll be split in half by the dental floss fanny part of your togs.”

Since the post was made, it has been shared by more than 36,000 Facebook users and has more than 135,000 comments, with people from around the world cashing in on the funny post.

Ms Skaines said she “definitely wasn’t expecting the commotion” after uploading the photo on Instagram.

“I think it’s hilarious and some of the comments are super funny,” she said.

Ms Skaines is a former St Hilda’s student and qualified lawyer after graduating from Griffith University Gold Coast in 2016.

She is now based in Bali and works as a full-time influencer, sharing photos of herself in a bikini almost daily.

“I thought I would be a lawyer by now but I’ve taken each opportunity as it’s been presented to me,” she said.

“There are definitely times when it can get a lot tougher … but overall it’s amazing. I get to wear bikinis, meet incredible people and travel the world.”
