IF your kids have been bending you over backwards these school holidays, maybe it’s time you gave them a go.

Milli Mansbridge, 8, is one of many kids being taught how to do stunts and tricks by circus performers this school holidays at NightQuarter.

“It’s really fun. I’ve been learning how to cartwheel,” she said.

Her mother, Kelly Mansbridge, has been busy trying to entertain two children over the holidays and is happy she has found something that has grabbed the interest of her daughter.

“You don’t get a lot of time to yourself during the school holidays,” she said.

“It’ll give me some time to grab a coffee and get my nails done.”

NightQuarter is usually associated with food and entertainment. This is the first time the hub at Helensvale has branched out into school holiday activities.

Energy Entertainment owner Neal Webb, who was a circus entertainer for 13 years, is one of a team of seven instructors teaching kids how to juggle, dance, hula hoop, perform acrobatics and do handstands.

“I got of the idea nine months ago and have chosen the best performers,” he said.

“I wanted to give parents a different option for the holidays.

“All of the performers are professional teachers who already work with children.’’

Kids can play for an hour, half a day or full day, with tickets starting from $30. Sessions are held this Friday and Saturday. Contact NightQuarter to book.
