A Gold Coast woman is calling for the public’s help to identify a salivating cyclist, who she claims has been committing a ‘disgusting’ act for the past 10 months. WATCH THE VIDEO

A Gold Coast woman is calling for the public’s help to identify a salivating cyclist, who she claims has been spitting on her car for the past 10 months.

The mum posted a video and photos to a Facebook community group in a bid to catch the alleged serial spitter.

The video showed a cyclist in lycra riding on Monaco St, Broadbeach and lean in when he passed the woman’s car parked on the street.

The Broadbeach woman said she had no idea why the cyclist had targeted her car.

“He has been spitting on our car every time he rides past in the morning on Monaco St for the past 10 months and we have no idea why,” she wrote.

“It is a disgusting thing to do, especially when I have to wash it off before I take my two young kids to school to make sure they don’t touch his spit.

“As we now have a lot of video footage, we have referred it to the police as it has now become harassment and damage to personal property.

“Please help us to try and stop this disgusting and coward behaviour.”

The Bulletin contacted the woman for comment.

One resident who commented on the woman’s post suggested the cyclist had a vendetta against her.

“You probably unknowingly had a near miss with him at some stage, still doesn’t excuse the behaviour though. We all make mistakes,” he said.

Many others labelled the act “gross” and “disgusting”.

“What is wrong with people?” another woman commented.
