A LABRADOR resident is in a race against time to track down the owner of a sinking boat before it is too late.
Tommy Campion posted photos of a vessel in trouble at the Labrador broadwater to social media on Monday.
No one was inside the boat at the time.
Mr Campion told The Bulletin he had run into the owner after the photos were posted.
He said the man worked out of town and had other accommodation, but lived in the boat when on the Gold Coast.
Mr Campion has been unable to find the owner again after the initial meeting.
A member of the public has come forward offering to help the owner remove the boat from the water.
But with the boat sinking fast, Mr Campion has renewed his appeal to find the owner again before it is too late.
