POLICE have released images of distinctive opal jewellery as part of an investigation into an alleged armed robbery in Southport.
The shop attendant who reported the alleged robbery told police a man made off with a haul of cash and jewellery from a Southport jewellery store on May 25.
They said he removed the business’ CCTV unit before fleeing on foot through the backdoor.
Detectives believe the jewellery may have been on-sold and have released images of the alleged stolen items in the hope of finding any possible buyers.
