Car stuck in trees after crashing on embankment at Oxenford

A WOMAN has been transported to Gold Coast University Hospital after a car crash at Oxenford.

A WOMAN has been transported to Gold Coast University Hospital after a car crash at Oxenford.

The woman, believed to be about 65-years-old, suffered minor back injuries after mounting the curb and travelling up an embankment on Tamborine Oxenford Road.

Tamborine Oxenford Road is closed and long delays are expected after the single car crash just after 11.30am.

Fire crews had to stabilise the car, which was caught in trees on the embankment, to remove the driver.

Traffic is banked up between Michigan Drive and the intersection of Maudsland Road
