Best places to get a monster, super-sized feed on the Gold Coast revealed

Fancy a 1.2m long cheeseboard, 2kg burger, or mega milkshake? Check out this list of 11 biggest foods that won’t leave you hangry.

Gold Coast's ultimate food eating challenges

A Gold Coast cafe has set tongues wagging with a new menu item for those who can’t get enough cheese and bickies.

Customers of Grazeway cafe in Nerang can now order a whopping 1.2m grazing platter available for pick-up or delivery.

Co-owners Akita Bysouth-Young and Christian Boluch were unable to find a serving board big enough for their foodie ambitions so they set off to their local Bunnings and sourced wood to make their own.

Ms Bysouth-Young said they came up with the idea of a super-sized platter to cater for large groups.

“A lot of people don’t realise how large it is until it is dropped off or they come to collect it in person,” she said.

“When we bring it out, people are like ‘wow’ – so that’s always cool.”

The pandemic saw a trend towards smaller, more intimate parties and special occasions due to restrictions on social gatherings.

Since these have eased, Ms Bysouth-Young said customers were craving big celebrations again.

“Events have just become larger because people realise that you never really know what’s going to happen,” she said.

“There has definitely been a go big or go home attitude towards parties now.”
