MECHANICS from across the Gold Coast had support from the community with businesses from Helensvale to Miami making up the top ten.
The service at Hondat Mechanical has been notice by Bulletin subscribers, with the Burleigh Heads business taking out the Best Mechanic on the Gold Coast for 2020.
Grant Kidson, 41, took over Hondat Mechanical 14 months ago and has grown the service with business partner Justin Rose.
When The Bulletin told Mr Kidson about his win he said he couldn’t believe it and that the hard work had paid off.
“I took over an existing business that probably was on the way out, so to turn things around so fast has been unexpected,” he said.
“We have only really just started to see return customers recently because we’re not the type of service people use all the time, so it’s great to see we’ve made a lasting impression.
“The team of three work hard so I have to thank the boys for the efforts and the customers as well for voting for us.”
