Aquinas College Year 12 students marked their formal in style on Movie World’s red carpet on Friday, sharing their hopes for the future.
Some plan to take on more study, across subjects like veterinary medicine, sciences, teaching, business, nursing, sports medicine, architecture, and law.
Others want to work as soon as they can as flight attendants, concreters, and event planners.
Tara Devell said: “I want to work with weddings.”
“I have no idea,” confessed Archie Hudson.
“I want to go around and surf,” Jackson Crowe said.
But for most of the school – celebrating its formal early to ensure no clash with end-of-year exams – it was a night to relax.
There was a mix of prom-posals.
Jamiel Viloria asked Isabella Dallosto via Instagram message.
Madeline O’Donoghue, who planned to celebrate with a group of friends, was convinced to join Aston Philp when he showed up to school with flowers.
Spencer Saurez asked Mia Thistlewaite with an aloe vera plant.
“She loved it,” he said.
“It was pretty spectacular,” Mia laughed in agreement.
Ellie Gray asked long-time pal Cassidy Dixon, with the pair hitting the red carpet in matching baby blue.
“We’ve been best friends for years so I didn’t take much convincing,” he said.
