A MAN has suffered leg and chest injuries after falling about 5m through a roof in a workplace incident on the Gold Coast.

Paramedics were called to a workplace incident at a Lakeside Avenue, Broadbeach Waters address just after 11am on Thursday to reports a man had fallen four to five metres through a roof.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said the man in his 40s suffered leg and chest injuries.

She said he was taken in a stable condition to Gold Coast University Hospital.

It comes just days after two tradesmen were rushed to hospital in a workplace accident at Ashmore that left one man in a critical condition.

James Badcock, 36, remains in the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a critical condition after suffering “flash burns” while working at Ashmore’s Pitstop shopping complex on Tuesday.
