A man has suffered leg and chest injuries after falling about 5m through a roof in a workplace incident on the Gold Coast.

A MAN has suffered leg and chest injuries after falling about 5m through a roof in a workplace incident on the Gold Coast.
Paramedics were called to a workplace incident at a Lakeside Avenue, Broadbeach Waters address just after 11am on Thursday to reports a man had fallen four to five metres through a roof.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said the man in his 40s suffered leg and chest injuries.
She said he was taken in a stable condition to Gold Coast University Hospital.
It comes just days after two tradesmen were rushed to hospital in a workplace accident at Ashmore that left one man in a critical condition.
James Badcock, 36, remains in the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a critical condition after suffering “flash burns” while working at Ashmore’s Pitstop shopping complex on Tuesday.

A second man, also injured, has since been released from Gold Coast University Hospital.
It’s understood the men were installing solar panels at the complex when the injuries occurred.
Workplace Health and Safety is investigating.
