A candlelight vigil for indigenous teenager Cassius Turvey was held in Geelong on Wednesday night.
Vigils were held across the country after the day was marked as National Day of Action for Cassius Turvey.
Held at Wathaurong Aboriginal Co-operative, the vigil began with a welcome to country and smoking ceremony followed by a minute silence.
More than 200 people were expected to be at the vigil to show support and solidarity for the Turvey family.
Cassis Turvey was walking home from school in a northeastern Perth suburb on October 23, when he was attacked with a metal pole. The 15-year-old died 10 days later and a 21-year-old has been charged with his murder.
