GDFL Stats: Huge stat lines revealed from round 4

A star Tiger put up a ridiculous stat line at the weekend, while a Panther eclipsed the 40-disposal mark. Break down all the GDFL stats from the weekend’s action here.

Bell Post Hill midfielder Jett Herrmann dominated for the Panthers at the weekend to lead all ball winners for the round’s action.

The magnet collected 43 disposals against North Geelong in the win, five more than any other player in the league.

Herrmann also had 17 contested possessions, eight clearances and four inside 50s for the day, and will likely poll three votes in the Neville Whitley Medal count.

Corio’s Logan Dixon and Werribee Centrals’ Michael Culliver were not far behind, having collected 38 touches each in their respective games.

Bannockburn’s Louis Clifton led the competition with an astonishing 17 marks against East Geelong, with five coming from the boot of an opponent.

His teammate, Connor Jervies, was equal second in the league with 11 for the round, tied with Bell Post Hill’s Jack Yates.

Thomson’s Jahd Anderson had 12 clearances to lead the league, while Belmont’s Benjamin Evans had 11.

Geelong West’s Joseph Bangura and Matt Ianelli led the competition for tackles with 12 and 10 respectively, while Magpies Mitchell Habib and Jacsen Jewell, Corio’s Joel Bennett, and Giant Curtis Hoare had nine each.

Thomson ruck Andrew Jarvis led the competition with 55 hit outs, with Werribee Centrals big man Patrick Daley finishing with 46.

Fellow Centurion Mitchell Alush led the competition for goals in the round, booting six majors.

Corio duo Matthew Jelenic and Destyn Burns both slotted five each, but Jelenic kicked two points as well.

Four players equalled the top score in fantasy football for the weekend, with Belmont’s Benjamin Evans, Giant Matt Ianelli, Corio’s Joel Bennett and Anakie ruck Ajang Kuol Mun scoring 148 points each.
