POLICE have released shocking CCTV footage of a man threatening a Gold Coast service station worker with a knife during a brazen daylight robbery.
The two-minute video shows the man repeatedly raising the weapon towards the terrified 23-year-old woman at a service station on Marine Parade, Southport, around 11.20am on Wednesday.
The man demands she open the register, which he empties of cash, before returning to threaten her again when his escape is blocked by a locked door.

After the door is unlocked the man is seen fleeing with cash and cigarettes.
Police say he was last seen running down High Street.
He is described as 160cm tall and was wearing grey tracksuit pants with a stripe down the side, a dark blue hooded jumper, dark beanie, white socks and blue and white stripe ‘Adidas’ slip-on shoes.
