FORMER Gold Coast bikie enforcer Jacques Teamo has been savagely bashed by a gang of prisoners in Arthur Gorrie Correctional Centre.

He had to be taken to Brisbane’s Princess Alexandra Hospital on Monday morning, Queensland Corrective Services confirmed.

Medical staff assessed Teamo in the prison before deeming he needed to be transferred to hospital for further treatment.
It’s understood Mongols gang members were involved in the incident, with the jail unit home to both Mongols and Bandidos members.
The unit, which has one prison officer to 36 prisoners, was put into lockdown after the bashing.
Notorious underworld figure Carl Williams was bashed to death with the stem of an exercise bike in Victoria’s Barwon jail in 2010.
Teamo is understood to have received a number of serious cuts to his face, including a long gash on his forehead and nose, which required stitches.
Teamo is in custody after allegedly assaulting a 29-year-old man at the Pacific Fair Shopping Centre in Broadbeach this month.
He was also charged with unlawful possession of a dangerous drug and possession of a drug utensil after being searched by police.
It was not the first time Teamo had run into strife at a Gold Coast shopping centre.
In 2012, Teamo was shot by Mongols bikie Mark James Graham at Robina Town Centre.
During a confrontation, Graham pulled out a gun and shot Teamo as he ran away.
Innocent shopper Kathy Devitt was also shot.
Graham was jailed for 12 years and three months in prison.
Less than two years later, Teamo was expelled from the Bandidos, with club members reportedly ordered to “shoot on sight”.
Senior Bandidos were reportedly “livid” over Teamo’s involvement in the Robina Town Centre shooting and his alleged role in a Broadbeach brawl.
Following the ‘shoot on sight’ order in 2014, revealed by the Gold Coast Bulletin, police swooped on the exiled bikie’s home to ensure his safety and federal gang squad police also reportedly visited several other bikies, or former gang members, quizzing them about the death threats.
Today, Queensland Corrective Services said Teamo’s assault on Monday was being investigated.
“The prisoner was assessed by medical staff at the centre before being transferred for further treatment,” a spokesman told the Gold Coast Bulletin.
“No officers were injured in the incident, which has been referred to the (Corrective Services Investigation Unit) for investigation.”
While the matter is still under investigation, it is understood no one has been charged.
