She said Scenic Rim was mostly about agritourism, while Tamborine Mountain appealed more to day-trippers from the Gold Coast.
The chamber had already met Destination Gold Coast and Tourism and Events Queensland officials.
Destination Scenic Rim chair Mike Webster said he was aware of the plans.

Scenic Rim MP Jon Krause said he had helped set up talks between the chamber, TEQ and the Government.
Destination Gold Coast and Ms Jones were not available for comment.
