THE construction of the Gold Coast’s newest primary school is on track to begin in the next few months.
A contractor has been named to build the $60 million school on the corner of Yawalpah Road and Gawthern Drive, Pimpama.

FK Gardner and Sons, the company behind the newly opened Foxwell State Secondary College at Coomera, will be taking on the project.
Education Minister Grace Grace said the Palaszczuk Government was planning for the future and responding to the rapid growth expected in the area.

“The primary school in Pimpama would provide additional capacity for Prep to Year 6 students and increase enrolment capacity in one of the state’s fastest-growing regions,” Minister Grace said.
“The $59.6 million school will feature administration and corporate services facilities, Prep and junior learning centres, a specialist STEM and music centre, a central covered area, library, canteen, sports oval, staff and student amenities, and a multipurpose hall.”
