A HOLLYWOOD star was among sweaty Cairns gym fanatics and proved there was more to do in a session than just bench press.
Orlando Bloom has spent the past two weeks training at 1 Million Strong in Smithfield with a bizarre workout routine that caught the eye of locals.
Gym owner, Neil Undy, said in the actor’s sessions, Mr Bloom had his personal trainer with him and someone holding up a script to recite lines.
The Pirates of the Caribbean star was in Far North filming on the set of Wizards! alongside comedian Pete Davidson.
“He would be talking and swearing in the gym while training,” Mr Undy said.
Describing him as a regular bloke, Mr Undy said Mr Bloom was “thumbs up and greeting people” during his time at the gym.
“He’s an absolute gentleman, was really nice,” he said.
Mr Bloom’s last session with 1 Million Strong was on Thursday.
Mr Undy was ecstatic to say that his gym was the only one the actor trained in.
“When I asked why he chose us it was a simple answer: ‘The team spoke to a lot of locals and seen all the 5 star reviews and checked out your socials which is what led us here, and the gym is incredible; best vibe we have ever stepped foot in”,’ he recalled.
