Popular restaurants and bars across the Far North have been added to the constantly growing list of exposure sites.

It comes as chief health officer Dr John Gerrard confirmed authorities would be “gradually pulling back” on contact tracing as cases soar across the state.

As of December 22 quarantine requirements have also changed. Casual contacts are required to get tested immediately and quarantine until they receive a negative test but are encouraged to wear a mask outside home for 14 days.

Vaccinated close contacts are required to quarantine for seven days but will need to get tested on day one and day five. Precautionary measures include wearing a mask for 14 days and avoiding high density venues. While unvaccinated household members and close contacts will need to quarantine for 14 days.
